  • Associate Field Service Engineer - HPLC

    Job Description: Associate Field Service Engineer - HPLC    

    Type: Regular Full Time

    Location: US – BOS– New England Territory


    Overbrook is a premier multiplatform laboratory service provider established in 2001, that maintains a wide range of analytical instrumentation including HPLC/UPLC, LCMS, GC, and GCMS from major manufacturers such as Agilent, SCIEX, Shimadzu, Waters, and Thermo. 


    Overbrook is experiencing significant growth, so we’re expanding our service team to accommodate our services, including repairs, maintenance, qualifications, relocations, and method assistance for our clients. 


    This position is ideally suited for an entry-level HPLC engineer or experienced lab user of HPLC platforms. The position allows the opportunity to develop new skillsets and to partner with our clients to impact their science directly. The Associate Field Service Engineer will primarily cover the New England territory but may occasionally include travel elsewhere within the US.  


    Minimum Requirement Summary

    The Associate Field Service Engineer is a full-time position and must have:

    • BS degree in a Scientific or Engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience
    • 1-3 years of experience with analytical instrumentation, preferably HPLC/UPLC systems from Agilent and Waters
    • Demonstrably strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with a team and customers
    • Training and Certification documentation are desirable
    • Reliable transportation 

    Candidate will be required to:

    • Undergo periodic training on multiple platforms of various manufacturers
    • Perform instrumentation repairs, preventive maintenance, Operational and Performance Qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ)
    • Maintain records consistent with a quality system to ensure proper repair and preparation of systems
    • Be willing and able to travel primarily in New England area and occasionally to laboratories outside of New England

    Job Description: Senior Field Service Engineer - LC/MS/MS

    Overbrook is experiencing significant growth, so we’re expanding our Service Team to accommodate our services including repairs, maintenance, qualifications, lab build-outs relocations and method assistance for our clients. 


    The position allows the opportunity to develop strong relations with a team, and to partner with our clients to directly impact their science. The Senior Field Service Engineer will be primarily covering the New England territory, while providing support and training for new engineers.  


    Position Summary


    The Senior Field Service Engineer is a full-time position and must have:

    • BS degree in a Scientific or Engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience
    • 3-5 years of in-field service experience with analytical instrumentation, preferably LC/MS/MS,  HPLC/UPLC systems from Agilent and Waters
    • Demonstrably strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with a team and customers
    • Training and Certification documentation desirable
    • Reliable transportation 

    Candidate will be required to:


    • Perform instrumentation repairs, preventive maintenance, Operational and Performance Qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ)
    • Maintain records consistent with a quality system to ensure proper repair and preparation of systems
    • Undergo periodic training on multiple platforms of various manufacturers
    • Provide exemplary service in a firm that consistently receives 95% client satisfaction scores from Net Promoter Score (NPS) surveys
    • Be willing and able to travel primarily in New England area and occasionally to laboratories outside of New England

  • Client/Sales Support Specialist Description

    Overbrook is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Client/Sales Support Specialist to add to their growing team near Waltham, Massachusetts. You will be responsible for providing top-notch support to the Sales team, including keeping track of business leads, creating quotes, proposal follow-up, market research and coordinating meetings/trade shows. The ideal candidate is very customer-focused with excellent written/oral communication skills and has prior experience in a laboratory or science-based industry.     Client/Sales Support Specialist (Laboratory Industry Exp. Req.) Responsibilities

    • Support the day-to-day needs of the Sales Team to drive business growth
    • Keep track of business development leads and the active sales pipeline
    • Draft proposals using standardized templates 
    • Follow up with clients on proposals and project timelines
    • Assist with industry research related to market competition and pricing
    • Generate client quotes 
    • Coordinate details for client meetings, trade shows, and conferences
    • Maintain sales KPIs & stats in the CRM
    • Answer sales calls/emails and gather required information
    • Serve as a positive company representative and build long-term client relationships
    • Support growth initiatives and serve as a link between Sales and Marketing 
    • Go above and beyond to support customer and project needs

    Client/Sales Support Specialist (Laboratory Industry Exp. Req.) Qualifications

    • Prior experience in a technical support role is preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
    • Tech savvy and comfortable learning new software is required
    • Ability to work on-site full time is required
    • Reliable transportation & valid driver’s license required
